Salsa is a social dance with Caribbean roots, built on the rhythm of Cuban son. You don't need a fixed partner or prior experience — you learn by imitation and group contact, one step at a time. It's also one of the most social dances out there: switching partners constantly is part of the dynamic itself, so it's as good an excuse to move as it is to meet new people.
