What it is

Cold exposure combined with controlled breathing wakes up the nervous system and trains something very useful: staying calm when your body is telling you to get out. The breathwork beforehand prepares your mind to handle the discomfort of the ice without tensing up, and it is a tool you can take into any high-pressure moment.

Headphones are key here. The guide's voice and immersive music stay with you through the breathing and inside the tub, shutting out everything around you so it is just you, the water and your breath.

Sessions are led by instructors experienced in cold exposure, in small groups and always with someone next to you. If you have heart problems or high blood pressure, or are pregnant, check with your doctor first.

How it works

  1. Briefing: what you will feel, how to breathe in the water and how to get out whenever you want.
  2. Guided breathwork through the headphones: several rounds of deep breathing and gentle breath holds.
  3. You take turns entering the ice bath, with the instructor beside you guiding your breathing.
  4. One to three minutes in, depending on how you feel. Nobody pushes you.
  5. Out, dry off and warm up with gentle movement while we share how it went.
